A MEETING POINT

LYST is a unique gathering of people who are making the future of food. A melting pot where business leaders, inno- vative thinkers, doers and influencers come to discover, net- work and exchange ideas focusing on the business of Food.

This year will be LYST’s second year, we intend to create an exclusive event for people on the cutting edge of the busi- ness and technology of food. The list of attendees will be limited to 300 decision makers.






Lyst at a glance

WHY LYST – FUTURE OF FOOD
The business of food is changing extremely fast. Iceland as a country is dependent on food export, at the same time the tourist industry has been booming and we should use that opportunity to introduce, and develop, Icelandic sustainable food to the world. The role of LYST is to be a melting pot for movers and shakers to forecast and create the future of Sustainable Food.
WHY SUSTAINABLE FOOD
Sustainable Food is a way of producing and consuming food that ultimately promotes the continuous well-being of ourselves and our planet. Until now the food system has been relatively unsustainable and we have to change that for future well-being of the planet. The awareness and the demand is getting louder and now is the time to act.
WHY FOOD HACKATHON
The Hackathon will be hosted in the Icelandic Ocean Cluster. Everyone can attend the Hackathon, there will be low entry fee to cover food and basic structure. Sponsors will provide mentors to guide during the Hackathon, along with Icelandic business people to mentor.





OUR VENUE

Set on the 27th of April at the Old Theater “Gamla Bíó” in the heart of Reykjavík.  The old theatre is a landmark building  for Icelanders, rich in history and has been recently renovated.

It is the perfect venue for a personal conference such as the Future of Food.
